What kind of wine to use:
I opted for Pinot Grigio for this recipe, because of its flavors of lemons and apples. It’s the perfect dry, light wine that brings out the tastes of the fruit. You can also use Sauvignon Blanc or even a dry sparkling wine.
You can make variations:
Lemons are a good citrus substitution for oranges as it pairs well with white wine. You can even substitute pomegranate seeds for cranberries. Also, If you like your sangria less sweet and with fewer calories, you can swamp the ginger beer for plain sparkling water, which you add right before drinking. Taste as you mix it and adjust any of the ingredients to suit your taste.
